Smallest Park In The World

Portland, Oregon, is home to the world’s smallest park and, with a total area of 452 square inches or measuring just 2-feet in diameter has been recognized as the smallest park in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records in 1971. Created in 1948, Mill Ends Park was originally designed as a base for a light pole. But, Oregon Journal columnist Dick Fagan decided to beautify the space up with some flowers, and named it after his newspaper column. And, over the years, Portland has given it as much care as it gives to the 200 odd so normal-size parks scattered around the city.
